Summer Writers’ Conference

in Santa Fe

July 16 – July 23, 2017

Registration opens December 2016

The 2017 Conference will be held Sunday, July 16- Sunday, July 23 with weeklong workshops and master classes meeting Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21 and weekend workshops meeting Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23.

The Conference opens with weeklong workshop registration at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, followed by a meet and greet for participants and instructors at 5 p.m., the opening Kick-Back in the Drury Hotel at 5:30 p.m., and a Keynote Reading at 6:30 p.m.

Weeklong workshops and Master Classes meet for a total of 15 hours and take place daily either in the morning (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or the afternoon (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

Weekend workshops meet for a total of eight hours twice daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy noontime scholarship readings and round tables as well as evening faculty readings.

Additionally, we offer publishing consultations for a fee throughout the week. You can also sign up for a free pitch session with a UNM Press representative on site.
