 University of New Mexico Summer Writers’ Conference

Registration open

The 2016 Conference will be held Sunday, July 24- Sunday, July 31 with weeklong workshops and master classes meeting Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29 and weekend workshops meeting Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.

The Conference opens with weeklong workshop registration at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, followed by a meet and greet for participants and instructors from 4-5 p.m., the opening Kick-Back in the Drury Hotel, and Sandra Cisneros's Keynote Reading at 6:30 p.m.

Weeklong workshops and Master Classes meet for a total of 15 hours and take place daily either in the morning (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or the afternoon (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

Weekend workshops meet for a total of eight hours twice daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy noontime scholarship readings and round tables as well as evening faculty readings.

Additionally, we offer publishing consultations for a fee throughout the week. You can also sign up for a free pitch session with a UNM Press representative on site.
