2016 UNM Summer Writers’ Conference in Santa Fe:

July 24 – July 31

The 2016 Conference will be held Sunday, July 24- Sunday, July 31 with weeklong workshops and master classes meeting Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29 and weekend workshops meeting Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.
The Conference opens with weeklong workshop registration at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, followed by a meet and greet for participants and instructors from 4-5 p.m., the opening Kick-Back in the Drury Hotel, and Sandra Cisneros’s Keynote Reading at 6:30 p.m.

Weeklong workshops and Master Classes meet for a total of 15 hours and take place daily either in the morning (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or the afternoon (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

2016 SCHEDULE

Registration open

Weeklong Workshops: $700 (non-refundable deposit of $350 due at time of registration)

Weekend Workshops: $400 (non-refundable deposit of $200 due at time of registration)

Master Classes: Prose (up to 300 pages) – $1625  & Poetry (40 – 60 pages) – $1350

(A $35 evaluation fee is required for all master classes. Additionally, a non-refundable deposit of $800 is due at time of registration.)

Publishing Consultations: $175 (paid in full – you must be registered in a class to purchase a publishing consultation)

UNM employees can use tuition remission by filling out the TR form and sending it to the TSWC office by e-mail or intercampus mail (MSC03 2170). Please choose the professional development option.

$25 discount at time of balance payment on your Weekend Workshop when taking a Weeklong Workshop or Master Class.

The Taos Summer Writers’ Conference offers a number of scholarships that provide assistance to talented writers. The application process and eligibility requirements for each award are different, so please read the instructions carefully.
